Darla Williamson is a Certified Zentangle Teacher who opened Tangled Stones Studio in the Artists on the Bluff art center in March 2012. Her dream was to help others find their creative spirit through Zentangle and other classes, and to sell the products from her own creative path - pottery, silk dying, book making and more! Artists on the Bluff closed in December 2017 and Tangled Stones Studio moved to it's new location in Shades Mountain Plaza, still in the lovely Bluff Park area of Hoover, Alabama. It is now a teaching studio and a gift boutique! It the "Open" sign is on, the boutique is open!! You can also purchase supplies for Zentangle and book binding in the boutique!
I come from a very creative family, my mother is a self-taught fine art artist, and my father can build anything. I always felt I was creative, but struggled to find an outlet. I've dabbled in many things over the years, but couldn't find my path. In 2010, my mother-in-law sent a Zentangle® kit to me, and it really opened my creative doorway! I became a Certified Zentangle Teach in October, 2011 and quit my corporate job in early 2012 to follow my teacher's heart and teach Zentangle. I have taught about 2,500 people since then and have met some amazing and wonderful people! My focus has really become to help others find their creative path.
Join me on a creative journey! After almost 20 years climbing the corporate ladder, I love to help others find their creativity and relaxation through Zentangle®, mixed media, and fiber arts. I also sell the fruits of my creative spirit - pottery, mixed media, cards, and silk scarves! I can't wait to see you at my studio in Shades Mountain Plaza in historic Bluff Park (Hoover), Alabama. - -
